Allah said, 
When you stand for the Salah,Allah commanded performing Wudu' for the prayer. This is a command of obligation in the case of impurity, and in the case of purity, It was said that in the beginning of Islam, Muslims had to perform Wudu' for every prayer, but later on, this ruling was abrogated. 
"The Prophet used to perform Wudu' before every prayer. On the Day of Victory, he performed Wudu' and prayed the five prayers with one Wudu'.

Hadith#1 </h2>
Hazrat MUHammad (PBUH)  said, 
`I did that intentionally ''' 
perform several prayers with only one Wudu'. 
Hazrat MUHammad (PBUH)  was earlier commanded to perform Wudu' for every prayer. When that became hard on him, he was commanded to use Siwak for every prayer.And to perform Wudu' when impurityoccurs. 
it is encouraged, not obligatory, to perform Wudu' for every prayer. 
when the Messenger of Allah once left the area where he answered the call of nature, he was brought something to eat. They asked to bring water for Wudu 
Hazrat MUHammad (PBUH)  said that he was commanded to perform Wudu' when he would stand up for prayer. 
Importance of wudhu

Hadith#2 </h2>
Hazrat MUHammad (PBUH)  said, 
“On Resurrection, my Ummah will be called "those with the radiant appendages'' because of the of <a href="http://dehleez-e-islam.blogspot.com/2013/10/how-to-perform-wudu-in-light-of-hadees.html">Wudu</a>'. Therefore, whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so. 
“The radiance of the believer reaches the areas that the water of his Wudu' reaches. “

Hadith #3 </h2>
Hazrat MUHammad (PBUH)  said 
“If anyone performs Wudu' like that of mine and offers a two-Rak`ah prayer during which he does not think of anything else, then his past sins will be forgiven.”

Hadith#4</h2>
 Hazrat Mhammad (PBUH) said, 
"Any Muslim who performs Wudu' properly, then stands up and prays a two Rak'ah prayer with full attention in his heart and face, will earn Paradise.”

Hadith #5</h2>
 Hazrat Mhammad (PBUH) said, 
When any of you performs Wudu' properly and says, `I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger', the eight doors of Paradise will be opened for him so that he can enter from any door he wishes.''

Hadith#6</h2>
 Hazrat Mhammad (PBUH) said, 
Performs Wudu' and washes his face, every sin that he looked at with his eyes will depart from his face with the water, or with the last drop of water. When he washes his hands, every sin that his hands committed will depart from his hands with the water, or with the last drop of water. How to perform Hajj and umrah

Now  we mention here ,how to perform hajj and umrah in detail 
  Hajj is not imposed on the child and the instance although it will the correct if it is performed by them . However pilgrimage will be required from the child on reaching puberty . 
The women may perform this duty if she accompains a licit person to her by virtue of kinship, fostering or affinity. 
Muslims go to mecca for performing Hajj and ummrah where Allah's house bait -u -Allah is present.

DAY OF STARTING OF  HAJJ</h3>
  
Haj starts from the first day of the month of shawal and end on the dawn of the tenth day of the moth of Zul- Haja. The sacred month is for the sacred month, and for the prohibited things, there is the Law of equality (Qisas). Then whoever transgresses against you, you transgress likewise against him. And fear Allah, and know that Allah is with Al-Muttaqin. 
. Consequently pilgrimage is not considered as being performed if it takes place out side these appointed times. 
“ He should return any trusts in his possession to their owners or else obtain their permission to their owners or else obtain their permission to retain them. He should repent from sins and determining not to return to such sins again. He must return any property taken unjusty. One should use Hilal wealth because Allah is wealth.

GOOD DEEDS IN BAIT -U –ALLAH</h3>
   
One should avoid all kinds of wrong doing . He should not push and crowd other pilgrims in a way. The pilgrims should learn and understand the rulings pertaining to Hajj. 
"They ask you concerning fighting in the Sacred Months. Say, "Fighting therein is a great (transgression) but a greater (transgression) with Allah is to prevent mankind from following the way of Allah, to disbelieve in Him, to prevent access to Al-Masjid Al-Haram, and to drive out its inhabitants".  
<h3>
 Traveler </h3>
The traveler should be attentive to all his duties , The greatest of which is prayer at its proper time. The travelers should do his best to choose righteous companions The traveler should have good morals and manners with people , including patience and forgiveness,gentlenessand kindness, forbearness, modesty ,justice , mercy, Travellers should recite regularly the supplications and words taughts by Muhammad (PBUH) among them the supplications when setting out and boarding the means of transport.

IHRAM </h3>
  
The duties of Hajj and umrah start with Ihram( link ) (wearing the pilgrimage ritual consecration garments starting from the prescribed place. ) .One may not enter into the pilgrimage ceremonies and will not confirm his compliance to Allah’s commands ( al Talbiya) before approaching his spatial prescribed place or coming near him.

MEEQAT </h3>
 
Meeqat are some points near Mecca beyond which a pilgrim may not pass without Ihram. When one reaches the <a href="http://dehleez-e-islam.blogspot.com/2013/11/meeqat-meeqat-is-place-where-every.html">meeqat </a>on land by car or some other transport ,he should make ghusal( a complete bath.but there is no sin upon him if he does not bathe. Then he wears two neat white ihram garments . one wrapped around his waist and the other around his shoulders. There is no particular dress for women in Ihram.

TALBIYA </h3>
 
Talbiya are words which means 
                 Allah I am present                
                            " Allah   Huma  lubaik "  
 
Then he went to recite Talbiya During umrah. <a href="http://dehleez-e-islam.blogspot.com/2013/10/rules-for-women-during-umrah-and-hajj.html">women</a> can also say it. from the moment of Ihram until the beginning of tawaf During Hajj : from the moment of ihram until the stoning the large pillar(jamrah ) on the morning of Eid

<h3>
ENTRY  IN KABBA </h3>
 
After entering in Mecca it is desirable to bathe immediately and go straight to. al- Masjid- al –Haram, in which is situated the ancient ahouse ( The Kabba) for the rites of umrah One should enter al- Masjid- al –Haram, with his right foot ,saying 
“Audhu billahil – atheemi wa bi wajihi – lareemi wa sultani-hil – qadeemi minash – shaytanir – rajeem….Allahumma after lee abwaba rahmatik.” 
It is from the sunnah for a man to bare his right shoulder and arm .  
 
<h3>
TAWAF</h3>
  
Then one begins the tawaf of seven circles, starting at the black stone if one is able to reach it without harming people by crowding or pushing . and one passes ar – Rukh- al – Yamani ( the yemini corner he touches it with his hand if he can do so easily. One should not kiss it or wipe his hands as some do ccontrary to the sunnah of propher ( PBUH) When unable to touch it with his hands , he should continue his tawaf without pointing it or saying “Allah akbar” it is from the sunnah , as one performs tawaf , torecite between the Yemini corner and the black stone.  
“Rabana atina fid – dunya hasanatan wa fil akhirati hasanatan wa qina adhab an nar’’ 
  Beginning each circuit at the bank of black stone anad ending at it . Foe man it is sunnah to walk briskly with small steps On completion of tawaf one should 
(1) Cover his right shoulder once again۔ 
(2) Pray two rak’ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim if it is possible with ease: otherwise in any part of al- Masjid- al –Haram, ..In this prayer one should recite ( after al – Fatihah) in the first rakah   
 
AS_SAFA AND AL_MARWAH  
  
After the completion of tawaf one goes to begin seven trips at as - safa reciting “Innas – safa wal- marwata min shair – illa “ indeed , as safa as marwah are among the symbols of Allah supplicating in between with any thing he wishes and if he does less than tha t, there is no fault . 
"" Verily, As-Safa and Al-Marwah are of the symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or `Umrah (pilgrimage) of the House to perform Tawaf between them. And whoever does good voluntarily, then verily, Allah is All-Recognizer, All-Knower". 
He raises his hands only when supplicating and does not point with them when saying Allahu akbar . He then decends from as- safa toward al marwa and supplicates with any dua that comes to mind for him self, his family ,and the muslims in general . when reaching the green marker men but not women should run until they come to the second marker .  
After which they walk as usual until they arrive at Al. Marwah . Upon reaching Al- marwah one faces the kabah and supplicates he wishes . He continouse walking to the green marker, then runs between the two (men only) and then walks to a 
As-safa .Thus he has completed two trips. One from as - safa to al. Marwah and second from al. Marwah to as - safa. He continues until he finishes seven trips ending at al – Marwah. 
● There is no blame upon one for completing the sai on a wheel chair if overcome by fatigue or illness 
● A woman who has menstrual or postpartum bleeding can complete her sai but not tawaf because the area of sai is not a part of Masjid- al – Haram.   
Hajj Day of Tarwiyah 
  
Rites of Hajj starts on 8th of dhul- Hijjah which is called the day of Tarwiyah. This day the pilgrims of Tamattu assumes ihram for Hajj in the morning. Before doing this , he does what he did before the ihram for Umrah-bathing, using scent , etc 
In Minnah 
All pilgrims set out for Minna before noon and there they pray thuhr,asr, maghrib and isha. Each prayer is done at time and not combined, but the fourth rakah prayers are shortened to two.They spend the eve of the 9th of dhul- Hijjah in Mina and pray fajr there.

The day of Arafat </h2>

Staying at Arafat is among the pillars of Hajj, without which the Hajj is invalid . Here muslims will remain until after sun set .At noon pilgrim should stop at Nimrah for thuhr and Asr prayer and to hear the speech .Now one should enter Arafat . The entire plain of Arafat is a standing place. The pilgrims should take care on this great day to make the best use of his/her time in reciting the talbiya , seeking Allah’s forgiveness , confirming his unity and praising him. At noon , The Imam delivers a speech to the people . Then he leads the people in the thuhr and Asr prayers together. No other prayer is performed before and after this prayer. 
This Ayah contains Allah's order to those who stand at `Arafat to also move on to Al-Muzdalifah, so that they remember Allah at Al-Mash`ar Al-Haram. Allah commands the Muslim to stand with the rest of the pilgrims at `Arafat, unlike Quraysh who (before Islam) used to remain in the sanctuary, near Al-Muzdalifah, saying that they are the people of Allah's Town and the servants of His House. Al-Bukhari reported that `A'ishah said, "Quraysh and their allies, who used to be called Al-Hums, used to stay in Al-Muzdalifah while the rest of the Arabs would stand at `Arafat. When Islam came, Allah commanded His Prophet to stand at `Arafat and then proceed from there. 
In Muzdalifah 
After this pilgrims begin moving toward Al- Mashar al –Haram in Muzdalifah to pray the Maghrib and Isha prayers joined and shortened . 
" There is no sin on you if you seek the bounty of your Lord (during pilgrimage by trading. Then when you leave `Arafat, remember Allah  by glorifying His praises, i.e., prayers and invocations) at the Mash`ar-il-Haram. And remember Him (by invoking Allah for all good) as He has guided you, and verily you were before, of those who were astray". 
They then spend the night there . Here they pick up seven pebbles slightly larger then a pea for rami .  
 
<h2>
IN MINNAH </h2>
They leave Muzdalifah before sun rise and again reach to Minnah. Stoning Here one throws seven pebbles at the larger pillar one after another, 
saying “Allahu akbar” 
with each other.I t is a sunnah act for the pilgrims to stand following the stoning of each of the small and medium pillars face the Qiblah ,raise his hands and supplicate waith any duaa that comes to mind . 
<h2>
slaughtering </h2>
Then he slaughters the sacrificial animal (hadi) if required of him. He may eat from it and feed the poor. 
"And complete Hajj and `Umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then sacrifice a Hady that you can afford, and do not shave your heads until the Hady reaches the place of sacrifice. And whosoever of you is ill or has an ailment on his scalp (necessitating shaving), he must pay a Fidyah (ransom) of either fasting or giving Sadaqah or a sacrifice. Then if you are in safety and whosoever performs the `Umrah (in the months of Hajj), before (performing) the Hajj, he must slaughter a Hady such as he can afford, but if he cannot (afford it, he should fast for three days during Hajj and seven days after his return, making ten days in all. This is for him whose family is not present at Al-Masjid Al-Haram (i.e., non-resident of Makkah). 
" That they may witness things that are of benefit to them, and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days, over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them. Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor having a hard time." 
  "Then let them complete their prescribed duties and perform their vows, and circumambulate the `Atiq House."  
 
<h2>

Then the man shaves his head or cuts his hair. The woman cuts a finger’s with from the length of her hair. Tawaf- al- ifadhah 
Tawaf- al- ifadhah. 
After it the pilgrims goes to Meccah to do seven circuits of tawaf- al- ifadhah. Once . Freed from restrictins of Ihram Once the pilgrims has completed Tawaf- al- ifadhah he/she is freed from all restrictions of Ihram , including marital intercourse.

APPOINTED DAYS </h2>
11th of Dhul-Hijjah After performing tawaf- al –ifadha the pilgrims should return to Mina to spend the nights ;that precede the three days of tashreeq, or two of nights for those who plan to leave after two days . 
. And remember Allah during the Appointed Days. But whosoever hastens to leave in two days, there is no sin on him and whosoever stays on, there is no sin on him, if his aim is to do good and obey Allah fear Him, and know that you will surely be gathered unto Him. 
The Appointed Days are the Days of Tashriq (11-12-13th of Dhul-Hijjah) while the Known Days are the  first ten (days of Dhul-Hijjah 
And remember Allah during the Appointed Days.) means reciting the Takbir -- Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, during the days of Tashriq after the compulsory prayers. 
The day of `Arafah (9th of Dhul-Hijjah), the day of the Sacrifice (10th) and the days of the Tashriq (11-12-13th) are our `Id (festival) for we people of Islam. These are days of eating and drinking.  </div>

Sunnats </h2>
► To say tasbih at least three times each in ruku and sajdah. 
► To keep the back and the head in the same level 
     while holding the knees  with fingers of both the hands in Ruku. 
► To Raise the hands upto the ears before saying Takbeer 
     Tahreema. facing the Qiblah.not to bend the head when saying 
    Takbeer. 
► Saying Takbeere Tahreema and other Takbeers aloud by Imaam 
    according to the need, while going from one Ruku to the other. 
► To fold the right hand around the left below the 
    navel. Saying by Imaam samiallahu liman 
    hami- dah in Qawmah followed by 
    Rabbana lakal hamd by Muqtadi. The munfarid 
    should say both Tasmi and Tahmeed. 
► In qaidah , placing the left foot on the ground 
    horizontally and sitting 
    upon it and raising the right foot vertically so 
    that the toes are facing the Qiblah and resting 
    both the hands on the thighs. 
► While going into Sajdah, first place the knees, 
    then the hands and lastly 
   the forehead on the ground. 
►To raise the index finger of the right hand as one 
    says "Ash Hadu 
    Alla Ilaha" . 
► To recite Sanaa, Ta'awwuz and Aameen softly 
► To read dua after durood sharif. 
► To turn the face for salaam towards the right 
     first and then to the left. 
► To say tasbih at least three times each in ruku 
     and sajdah 
► To pull the palms out of the sleeves while 
     saying Takbeere Tahreema. 
► To keep the eyes towards the place of sajdah in 
     qiyaam, at the toes in ruku, towards the lap in 
     Q'ida and jalsa, and at the shoulders while 
     turning for salaam. 
►To try best not to cough. 
►To try and keep the mouth closed when yawning, 
    but if it is opened, to cover it by the upper 
    portion of the right hand in qiyaam and by the 
    left hand in all other.

Waajibat </h2>
♣ It is wajab for every muslim that he should Fixing the first two 
Rakaats of the Farz Namaaz for Qirrat. 
♣ It is Waajib to receite Surah Faatiha in all the Rakaat of every 
Namaaz. However, in the third and fourth Rakaat of any Farz 
Namaaz, it is Sunnat and not Waajib. 
♣ He /she should read sura fatiha before any other Surah or Aayat. 
♣ He /she should maintain order between Qiraat, Ruku, Sajda and 
Rakaat. 
♣ He /she should Standing up erect after Ruku and Sitting between the 
two Sajdas. 
♣ He /she should perform Ruku,' Sajda, etc. in a good way. 
♣ He /she should sit to the extent of saying Ta.shahhud after two 
Rakaats in Namaaz of three or four Rakaats. 
♣To recite Qiraat aloud in Fajr, Maghrib, Esha, Jumuah, Eidain and 
Taraweeh Salaat in Ramadaan by the Imam. The Imam should recite 
Zuhr and Asr Namaaz silently. 
♣ He /she should end the Namaaz by saying salaam.

► It is not Wajib upon women, children sick persons, those nursing the sick, very old persons and blind to attend the Jamaat. 
►A Jamaat consists of at least two persons the Imaam and the Muqtadi. The Muqtadi should stand at the right of the Imaam in such a manner that the toes of the Muqtadi should be parallel to the ankle of the Imaam . 
If there are two or more Muqtadis, the Imaam should stand ahead and the Muqtadis behind. 
►The Muqtadis should stand close to each other and in a straight row. 
►No space should be left in between, children should stand in the back row. It is Makruh to include children in the men’s row. 
►If the Imaam's Salaat becomes Faasid then the Muqtadis Salaat will also become Faasid. It will be necessary for the Muktadis to repeat the Salaat. 
Salaat of any person will not be accepted if the Imaam is 
Insane mad. 
If the Imaam is not Baaligh then the Salaat of the Baaligh will not be accepted. If the imaam is a woman, Salaat of males will not be accepte 
A person who has joined the Imaam whilst the Imaam is in Ruku, will be regarded as one who has performed the complete Rak'at. Once the Imaam has completed the Ruku and a person then joins the Imaam, he has missed a Rak'at. Such a person is known as a masbooq. 
A person who has missed any Rak'at and then joined the Jama'at, he should continue the Salaat with the Imaam to the end. Once the Imaam turns to say the second salaam, the Musbooq should stand up and complete the missed number of Rak'aats. If the Musbooq has missed only one Raka'at, he should stand up, read the thana, Ta'awwuz, Tasmia, Surah Faatiha and another Surah and thereafter complete the Salaat. 
If the Musbooq has missed two Rak'aats in Fajr, Zohar, Asr or Esha, he should complete both the Raka'ats by reciting Surae Fatiha and another Surah in both the Raka'ats. 
If a person has Qaza two Rak'aats in Magrib Salaat then after completing the first Rakat make Qaidah read Tashahhud and then stand up for the second Rak'at. After reciting Surae Faatiha and another Sura, complete the Salaat. 
If three Rak'aats were missed in Zohar, Asr or Esha, 
the Musbooq should stand up and read Surah Faatiha and Sura in the first Rak'at, thereafter make Ruku and Sajdah but before Qaidah (sit down), read Tashahhud and then stand up for the second Rak'at. 
In the second Rak'at recite Surah Faatiha and another Sura complete the second Rak'at and without sitting for Tashahhud, stand up for the third Rak'at. In the third Rak'at read only Surah Faatiha and complete the Namaaz. 
If a person has missed all the Rakaats of any Namaaz, then he should repeat the whole Namaaz after the Imaam has said the Salaam except that he should not raise his hands to say Allahu Akbar (Takbir) in the first Rak'at. 
For a person who joins the Jama'at when the Imam is in Ruku, it is Farz to stand and recite Takbeere Tahreema and thereafter to stand at least for the duration long enough in which Subhan Allah could be recited once and then go into Ruku. 
Reciting Takbeer and going into Ruku without pause is not permissible. The Namaaz performed in such a way will not be valid and should be repeated. 
One should not join the Jama'at as soon as the Imam recites the first Salaam to complete the Namaaz. 
A person should not run in the Masjid to join the Jamaat if he is afraid of missing any raka'at. It is not proper to run in the Masjid. </div>

Aqeeqa and Sadaqatul Fitr

AQUEEQA</h2>
Aqeeqa means Sacrifice of an animal for a newly born child and the removal of the baby's hair. When a child is male or female, it should be given a name on the seventh "day of birth. When the hair of the head of the baby is shaved, a sacrifice is also offered which is called Aqueeqa. By Aqueeqa all impurities of the child are removed and the child is saved from all calamities by Allah. 
Aqueeqa is performed on the seventh day of the birth of a child. If not done on the seventh day, then, whenever it is done, it should be the seventh day, e.g. if the child was born on a Friday, then Aqueeqa should be performed on the following Thursday (the 7th day after birth). If it is not performed on this Thursday, then any other Thursday. 
The method of performing Aqueeqa is that for a male child, two goats or sheep and for a girl one goat or sheep is sacrificed. If an animal of seven shares (cow or camel) is used for Aqueeqa, then two shares will be taken for a male and one for a female. The hair of the head is then shaved. Silver, equal to the weight of the shaved hair, is also given in charity. However, this is not compulsory. 
That animal which is not permissible for Qurbani, is also not permissible for Aqueeqa. Requiremnets for the animals of Qurbani and Aqueeqa are the same.It is permissible to distribute the meat of an animal of Aqueeqa raw or cooked, and can also be served to guests. 
If one does not possess sufficient money, then it is permissible for such a person to raerifice only one goat for a male child. There is no harm if Aqueeqa is not performed, provided one does not have the means for Aqueeqa.Before sacrificing the animal (for Aqueeqa), the following Du'aa may be recited:Which means "O' Allah I sacrifice this animal in Thy name as a sadqa for my child in substitution, blood for blood, flesh for flesh, bones for bones, skin for skin and hair for hair. 
O' Allah accept this sacrifice for the protection of my child from hell. If the Aqueeqa is for a Girl then in place of *Sf say and mention the name of the child boy or girls at this point. **Du'aa for slaughtering. Lay the throat of the animal towards the Qiblah and recite 
"For me,! have set my face, firmly and truly towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth. And never shall I give partners to Allah. 
Verily my worship and my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the Worlds. O Allah this sacrifice is from You and is for You." While Slaughtering the animal read: Translation: "In the name of Allah. Allah is the Greatest."

Sadaqatul Fitr(Fitrana)</h3>
Sadaqatul Fitr is Waajib upon one who possesses so much that Zakaat is due on him. 
A person (on whom Zakaat is not due) possesses items more than his daily needs (for the purpose of trade of otherwise). The value of these items adds up to the Nisaab (amount for Zakaat being Waajib). Sadaqatul Fitr will be Waajib upon such a person as well even though a whole year may not have passed on such items. 
A person should discharge his Sadaqatul Fitr in respect of himself and all those who are dependent upon him like his wife and his minor children (who do not possess any wealth). If they do, then Sadaqatul Fitr may be given from their wealth. 
It is not Waajib to give Sadaqatul Fitr on behalf of one's mature children. Yes, one may give on behalf of one's insane child. 
Note: One upon whom Sadaqatul Fitr is Waajib, must discharge this duty whether he has observed the Rozas of Ramadhaan or not. 
Sadaqatul Fitr is not Waajib on one for whom it is permissible to take Zakaat and Sadaqatul Fitr. 
Sadaqatul Fitr becomes Waajib on the day of Eid as the time of Fajr Salaah arrives. If one dies before the time of Fajr Salaah, Sadaqatul Fitr will not be Waajib upon him. Neither should it be taken nor paid from his property. 
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
It is better to give Sadaqatul Fitr before reaching the Eidgaah. However, if it is not given before, it may then be given after the.Eid Salaah. </blockquote>
If one discharges this duty before the day of Eid, i.e. during Ramadhaan, the duty will be regarded as discharged and will not have to be repeated. 
If one did not give Sadaqatul Fitr on Eid day, he will not be absolved of this duty. He should thus give it on any subsequent day. 
The following could be given as Sadaqatul Fitr: 
1/2 Saa' wheat, flour, bran or raisins; or 
One Saa' dates or barley; or 
The equivalent of either one in cash or kind. 
One Saa' equals approximately 3.828kg. 
The recipients of Sadaqatul Fitr are the same as that of Zakaat. 
Further, the Sadaqatul Fitr of one person could be given to just one 
rightful recipient or could be distributed between a few recipients of Sadaqatul Fitr. 
It is also permissible that the Sadaqatul Fitr of a 
group of people be collectively given to just one 
individual recipient of Sadaqatul Fitre.</div>

Masah on the khuf-fain </h2>

what is khuf-fain</h3>
"Khuf-Fain are a special type of socks, Instead of washing the feet during Wudhu, it is permissible to pass moist hands over such socks. 
This is known as Masah Alai Khuffain. 
 
The socks must be strong enough to enable walking in them on roads for approximately three miles without the socks tearing. 
The socks should remain in position (covering the foreleg) without being tied. They should not slip. Socks which have elastic sewn into them (to keep them in position) will be regarded as being tied. 
Water must not be able to seep through. 
The socks must not be transparent or even semi-transparent. 
Khuffain on which masah is made are generally made of leather. The type of socks - woollen, nylon, etc., generally worn nowadays are not classified as "khuffain". It is, therefore, not permissible to make Masah on them. If socks are made of a material other than leather and the afore-mentioned four requirements are met, Masah will be permissible on them. 
It is essential to put on the Khuffain after complete Wudhu has been made. 
If the khuffain have been put on before a 
complete Wudhu has been made, Masah on them will not be permissible. Firstly, a complete Wudhu has to be made, then only should the Khuffain be put on. Thereafter if Wudhu breaks, it will be permissible to make Masah Alai Khuffain without washing the feet when Wudhu is being made. 
For a Muqeem (one who is not a traveller - Musaafir) Masah Alai Khuffain is valid for a period of 24 hours. 
<h4>
Musafir </h4>
 For a Musaafir the period permissible is 72 hours. 
The period of 24 or 72 hours will be reckoned from the time the Wudhu (after which the Khuffain were put on) breaks, not from the time the Khuffain were put on. 
For Example, a Muqeem makes Wudhu at 6 p.m. and after completing his Wudhu he puts on Khuffain. At 8 p.m. his Wudhu breaks. Twenty-four hours will be reckoned from 8 p.m. Hence, it will be permissible for him to make Masah Alai Khuffain each time he takes Wudhu until 8 p.m. the next day. 
Upon expiry of 24 hours, Masah Alai Khuffain will no longer be valid. When the period of (24 hours for the Muqeem and 72 hours for the Musaafir) expires, the Khuffain should be removed and the feet washed. It is not necessary to renew the Wudhu. 
<h4>
The method of Masah Alai Khuffain  </h4>
 Draw the fingures of the right hand on the upper surface of the Khuffain starting from the toes and ending (the Masah) at the foreleg Oust above the ankle). The Masah should be done once only on each sock. The right hand should be used for the right Khuff and the left- hand for the left Khuff 
If the back of the hand was used to make the Masah, it will be valid. However, one should not unnecessarily depart rom the correct Sunnah method. 
It is not permissible to make Masah on the side or at the under surface of the Khuffain. It is Fardh to make Masah on each sock to the extent of three full fingers, i.e. the full surface area of three fingers must be drawn from the toes to the foreleg. 
The following acts will nullify the Masah which was made on the Khuffain: 
All things which nullify Wudhu. 
<h4>
Removal of the Khuff (sock).</h4>
 The expiry of the period, i.e. 24 hours for the Muqeem and 72 hours for the Musaafir. 
If only one sock was removed then, too, it is Waajib to remove the other one and wash both feet. 
Even if only the foreleg is exposed by lowering the Khuff, it will be regarded as if the whole sock has been removed. It will then be compulsory to remove the Khuffain and wash both feet. 
It is not permissible to make Masah on a Khuff which is torn to such an extent that an area equal to the size of three small toes is exposed. It is permissible to make Masah on the sock if it is torn less than this. 
If the seam of the Khuff comes loose, but while walking the foot is not exposed, Masah on such Khuffain will be valid. 
If a Muqeem who has made Masah Alai Khuffain goes on a journey before the expiry of 24 hours, then his Masah may be extended to 72 hours. His Masah will now be valid for 72 hours. 
If a Musaafir who has made Masah Alai Khufain returns to his home town then his Masah will be valid for only 24 hours. 
It is permissible to make Masah on ordinary woollen, etc., socks which have been covered with leather. 
If Ghusl become compulsory then Masah Alai Khuffain will not be permissible even if the 
valid period has not yet expired. The Khuffair must be removed when the Ghusl is taken anc the feet washed.
